About Us

There is a human dream that strives to combine the best qualities of several things and come up with the ideal.  We pursue that dream in this congregation believing that it is inspired by God.

The worship sites that constitute the Discover Church Network cannot be understood by using a single label.  This multi-site congregation is a synthesis of several streams of God’s life that flow to us by his grace.

First, we are a congregation that is Evangelical in our priorities.  All people are loved by Jesus and need what only he can offer.  The biggest focus of our mission is to get people connected to Jesus in a life-transforming way and help them to live for Him.  It is all about Jesus!

Second, we are a congregation that is Charismatic in our spirituality.  Many of us in this congregation trace our religious background to the Mainstream Protestant and Roman Catholic Church.  These traditions gave us rich gifts but the strength of these traditions has not usually been an emphasis on the Holy Spirit.  We simply feel that a greater emphasis on the person and work of the Holy Spirit is needed for the 21st Century Church.

Third, we are a congregation that is Lutheran in our heritage, theology, and practice of the sacraments.  When the water of baptism is flowing and the bread and wine is on the altar we believe that God is coming to us directly by these means of grace.

We do not believe that this is the ideal congregation or the model that everyone else should copy.

We are thankful for the dynamic reality of God’s life that is present and working among us and through us.  For those of us who are here it is the church we always hoped we might find.  We invite you to discover it with us.
